A Love Supreme Jazz Vespers

Thursday, December 15th at 6:30pm

The Sanctuary

Join us Thursday, December 15th, at 6:30 p.m. for a contemplative jazz vespers service around John Coltrane’s album, A Love Supreme. Considered Coltrane’s masterpiece and most important jazz albums of all time, this music holds a deep spiritual significance people. Rolling Stone wrote that, “Intended as a piece of sacred music, it’s one of the most prayers of the 20th century.” We will listen to the four-part suite in its entirety, with time and silent contemplation interspersed throughout the service. This will be a wonderful to make intentional space for spiritual introspection during the Advent season.
