Adult Formation in Lent – A Cry of Lament

Sundays, February 22 through March 22

9:15 – 10:15 a.m. in Hobson Hall

This Lent our Rector, Karl Stevens, invites you to join him in exploring the spirituality of lament. He will lead five sessions, starting on Sunday, February 22 and ending on Sunday, March 22. The sessions will take place between services, from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. in Hobson Hall. No need to register. Bring paper and a writing instrument, as we will be working on our own prayers of lament.

The schedule of the sessions will follow the five basic components of a prayer of lament:

  • Week One – Invocations
  • Week Two – Honest Complaint
  • Week Three – Expressions of Confidence
  • Week Four – Petition
  • Week Five – Praise
