Art in the Sanctuary – Jen Poppen’s “Hybrid”

We are thrilled to display Jen Poppen’s wonderful art in the Sanctuary this summer. In this series, “Hybrid “, Poppen explores ideas of combining different aspects of artistic tendencies and symbols to create something new.  Reflection on how all of us carry some form of hybridization is central to this body of work.  Meshing natural and cultural elements with a variety of techniques,  Poppen creates layered images that invite the viewer to slow down and explore. It is all a hybridization of multiple mediums, techniques, and forms to make something new and organically beautiful.
