The Prayer Vigil will start at sunrise with Morning Prayer and then commence with continuous walking and praying on our outdoor labyrinth. Our memorial garden will be set aside to pray for people who have suffered at the hands of White supremacy and systemic racism. Musical reflections will be offered throughout the day by local musicians. The vigil will close with Evening Prayer at sunset.
Enact love with us! Each participant will discern what actions they can take to dismantle systematic racism. This commitment to action will be blessed as each participant leaves the vigil.
This is an event for all ages! Children and youth are encouraged to attend, and we will provide age appropriate resources for them.
This event will be entirely outdoors, rain or shine. We are requiring all attendees to wear facemasks and follow social distancing guidelines.
We hope this vigil will be a vessel of love and peace as we participate in Christ’s mission to make our community a better reflection of God’s Beloved Kingdom.
